Angel Place Shopping Centre is inviting families to enjoy a ‘Summer of Fun’ with free activities, aimed at every generation of the family, available throughout the school holidays.

Every Wednesday from 11am to 4pm during August, little shoppers along with their parents, grandparents and guardians are encouraged to get together and create beautiful crafts and projects to make and take home. All activities will take place in a workshop area close to Poundland.

In week one, on Wednesday 7 August, professional knitting enthusiasts are on hand to help with a knitting and pom pom-making project. On 14 August, adults and their mini-mes are invited to mix, mould and shape their own bird cakes to take and hang up in the garden.

All the family can spend quality time together decorating plant pots before planting them with seeds on 21 August. The final activity on 28 August will include games and exercises that build trust, and are of course, lots of fun!

Children will also be able to collect a flyer and a stamp each time they attend a session, once they receive three stamps, they will be eligible for a prize.

A spokesperson for Angel Place, said. “The summer activities at Angel Place were a massive hit last year with more than 500 children taking part over the school break, so we’re delighted to offer free sessions once again this year.

“For 2019 we want the whole family to be able to get involved, so all of the free crafts and activities are designed for adults and kids to sit down together and bond while they create something special to take and use at home.

“We appreciate how difficult it is to keep the kids entertained over the school holidays, so we’re pleased to be able to offer these free sessions to the local community. We look forward to welcoming families to the centre throughout August.”
