Proceeds will be donated to two causes

Angel Place is counting down to the arrival of a very special guest who is coming to Bridgwater to help raise money for charity this Christmas.

‘Tis the season of goodwill and Santa Claus himself will be at Angel Place from 11am until 3pm on Saturday, 24 November, and every weekend until Sunday 23 December to spread festive cheer throughout Bridgwater.

For £2.50 each, children will meet Santa and receive a small gift, with all proceeds from the grotto being split between two fantastic causes. Elliot’s Touch raises awareness about cardiomyopathy and mitochondria disease and helps fund research into the conditions. Cancer care and support organisation, Marie Curie will also be a beneficiary of the Christmas event.

“The lead up to Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year here at Angel Place Shopping Centre and our grotto is always hugely popular with families,” said Roger Smith, centre manager at Angel Place. “We are supporting two incredible organisations which are very close to our hearts and we’re delighted that we can show our thanks for the amazing work they do for families locally and beyond.

“And, of course, it’s always a pleasure to welcome Santa to the shopping centre and for him to meet all the wonderful people in the town,” added Roger. “We hope everyone has fun getting into the Christmas spirit with us.”

Opening dates for the grotto:

  • 24 & 25 November
  • 1 & 2 December
  • 8 & 9 December
  • 15 & 16 December
  • 22 & 23 December
